- The healing power of the inner smile
Deep within you and me, within each of us, hides our most natural smile. We already carry this smile with us from birth and babies often radiate this pure smile, which should not be confused with the "social smile" that we learn. Did you know that the healing power of your inner smile is a source of deep transformation? For both yourself and others? The inner smile is silent and effortless The inner smile can clearly be seen in babies and younger children (or as in the photograph below when they are sleeping) before they have fully developed their ego or opened themselves up to challenging imbalances from ancestors. In adults, it is harder to see this pure inner smile as many of us have hidden it under layers of our personality and various tensions, which suppress this smile. Despite that, it always continues to exist within us! What happens in you when you encounter the smile of the sleeping baby in the photograph? If you try, you might notice that you start smiling automatically. It's almost hard not to smile back. This happens because we receive a direct reminder from the person smiling at us that we ourselves have this source within us. We can also often feel a warm wave of love washing up from somewhere within our inner heart area. Time may even be experienced as if it has briefly stopped or that everything in our world has just melted into love in an instant. The same effect can occur in a meeting with an animal. It's like the sun when it comes out from behind a dark cloud and lights up your world. Your body feels warm, loved, and accepted, as if you have been embraced from within yourself ( (M. Winn). The healing power of the inner smile -a state of being rather than doing The power of the inner smile consists of a pure unconditional acceptance and has the ability to melt away all fear and resistance within us and outside of us - yes, this love that flows forth is that powerful. This was something I was strongly come to experience. Will share my story below. The source of the smile can be found neither in our physical heart nor in our second heart where our social outer smile resides. Instead, it is hidden deep within a third heart, a cosmic heart according to Daoism. The smile comes from a primordial source within us that Daoism refers to as Yuan shen; in other words, it can be described as the life force behind the soul, or the intelligence that guides the soul, much like nature. Unlike the outer smile, the inner smile requires no object to begin smiling. (like the sleeping baby shows). The healing power of the inner smile is a pure state of being rather than doing. The inner smile helps us reach deep into the hidden, silent levels of our deep core in a way that mantras, visualizations, breathing techniques, movement practices, or empty-mind meditations cannot reach. It is not easy to specifically embrace our true nature and feel it in the body.(M. Winn). From the little to the sublime possibilities According to Winn, our inner smile has unlimited potential. For example, we can smile at our food on the plate to raise its frequency energetically, which helps the body to more easily digest its life energy. We can communicate with nature or animals through a smile or help others through emotional transitions. It is a practice of inner alchemy! The same as we know with Reiki. I use the inner smile in my Wuji-gong dance, as it is naturally a part of that form. In chi kung, the inner smile is an absolute foundational practice. Smiling to my organs Since last spring, I have been practicing, among other things, using the inner smile towards my organs and all parts of my body to dissolve stagnations in the life flow and thereby support purification and healing. On the third day, when I directed the smile to my organs, I could feel them smiling back. It was an amazing experience. The lungs had one vibration, the heart another, and so on - they were different voices with their own stories! It was also then that I discovered which organs were a bit tired and didn't really smile back. Thus, I directed a bit of extra love to them with the smile, and after a while, they responded by starting to smile back. By simply smiling at our inner selves, we will discover that we receive an energetic response, as if they are thanking us for showing appreciation for everything they do for us. Without a doubt, this is one of my most fascinating alchemy practices. Maybe it will be yours too? Process of dying What we may not directly know or think about is that the inner smile can also be used as support for others who are in the process of dying. I had such an experience and it expanded my understanding of the enormous transformative power of the inner smile. When I shared my experience with my teacher colleagues in Wuji-gong, another experience of a similar nature related to coma emerged. This led to us using the smile in a group to support a baby who was in a coma. The results were beyond words. I will share more about it, as well as the other person's experience, in a new post. From fear to inner peace in the moment of death -with the support of the inner smile The man in front of me lies in a coma, very ill, while his wife are by his side. I know that it is soon his time to leave this earthly life. I go deep into the innermost part of my heart and activate the eternal inner smile, which makes him wake up. Our eyes meet and he communicates to me that he feels scared, whereupon I once again activate the smile from my inner self. Then I see him break into the same smile and a beautiful golden light surrounds him. I feel in the same moment that the fear he had is now melting away. Now we leave the coma and his wife. I follow him to a vast ocean. The man speaks incessantly with great excitement about his work life and I listen while keeping my focus in my heart and smiling. We stand in the middle of the water and a first wave gently washes by. The next wave that comes, I know, is his moment — a wave that will carry him onward to where his soul is meant to go now. The man seems unaware and talks happily on and it makes me happy that he is happy and peaceful. I stand on the side as the wave sweeps in and from one moment to the next, he transforms into a beautiful golden-colored hummingbird and I watch as it flies away upwards. Amazed by what I saw, I return to his wife who is sad and now the grief begins to ache in my chest as well. I wake up and realize that I am dreaming. For a long time I lie wide awake this morning, struggling to process the dream. Who was the man? What had just witnessed? The rest of the day my entire being was touched. Two weeks after my dream One evening when I had just gone to bed to sleep I experienced a tremendous energy activity starting in my crown chakra. The feel vibratingly high and it is completely impossible to fall asleep. I lie awake for three hours while it works in me and it's among the most powerful things I've experienced in a long time. It feels like a part of me is at work, somewhere else, while I lie awake in my bed. For a moment, a feeling arises that it is my dream playing out now because the feeling in the dream was similarly intense and high. A day earlier, a friend of mine had just told me that a close relative of her had gone into a coma. I'm wondering if maybe this is when that person passes away. I then let go of all my thoughts and try to sleep, because I am in the middle of a teaching weekend in Reiki and would prefer to sleep so that I am alert the next day. Not until a little after three in the morning does the feeling go away and I fall asleep. In the morning, I receive a message from my friend that the person in a coma passed away last night, shortly after three o'clock, with his wife by his side. I get a little shiver and as a week goes by, I can't stop thinking about my dream. I ask my friend if I can describe the appearance of both the man and his wife whom I met in a dream a few weeks earlier. I am allowed to, and I pull out every detail I remember about their appearance, clothing and bits of both their personalities. The more I describe, the more my friend's hair stands on end - "it's as if you're describing them", she says. Then she sends photographs and I immediately see that it is the two I met in my dream. I feel a deep gratitude for the moment I got to share with that fellow traveler, a peaceful transition, from here to something new. How can you reach into the inner smile? There are a few different ways to activate the inner smile. One way is to imprint on your retina a memory of someone (perhaps your own child or a baby you met) who has given you this smile. Just seeing it in front of you can make you start smiling now. We can also find pictures of others smiling from this source, print them out and just sit with them in front of us, because smiles are contagious. Buddha is an example that shows us the inner smile. The inner smile is greeting me in the work studio of MY Balance Another way, which I learned in Wuji-gong, is to rest the tongue against the palate with the tip of the tongue just behind the front teeth. This reconnects the contact to your Higher Self (your authentic/true self). You may have noticed that babies always have their tongue up there behind their "yet-to-be-visible front teeth". They are in pure contact with their source. As we get older we gradually lower our tongues and many of us forget our inner source. Then place a gentle smile on your lips while simultaneously bringing your awareness down to the heart area. With training, you may experience it as if a fountain of warm love is flowing up from your inner self (heart) and the source feels inexhaustible! The challenge is to maintain in the smile. At first, we might notice how we get caught up in our thoughts after just a few seconds. Go back down to the heart and put on a gentle smile again to your lips. Practise ... and practice! Every time someone smiles at you from their inner smile, or you smile at them, or we direct the smile inward to ourselves, a wave of love is sent out that completely conveys acceptance to everything and everyone it reaches. This form of love can support deep transformation and take us to a new level of ourselves! /Sanne *M. Winn. 2003. Way of the Inner Smile, Self Acceptance: Tao Path to Inner Peace.
- The inner smile and miracles 🌟
Miracles are a fascinating area to write about and are a spiritually natural part of our world. Miracles can be large or small, but what they have in common is that they constitute an extraordinary and astonishing event that cannot be explained by natural or scientific laws and are therefore attributed to the action of a divine or supernatural force. That is the definition of a miracle and the word has its origin in the Latin Miraculum "object to wonder at" . If we go even further back the word originates from Smeyros from Indo-European, which means "to smile." When we marvel at something or experience a miracle – we smile. The origin of the word evokes curiosity and fascination in me because I see a connection to the "inner smile," which I described in the previous blog post: The healing power of the inner smile . In that text, I discuss what the inner smile is and how you can reach into it within yourself. I also share a personal experience of how it can support in the process of dying. Two stories about the inner smile and miracles Sanne, thank you for your openness and I read your experience about the dying man in a coma with fascination. It took me back to a personal experience when I myself was in a coma several years ago, a woman write to me. I have been given permission to share the woman's story that deeply moved me. After that antoher story follows. The smile kept me strong when I fought for my life / story 1 While I was in a coma, a family member asked those present around the coma to visualize me with a smiling face. Her idea was to restore my will to live. When I woke up from the coma, I immediately had a blissful smile on my lips despite the beeping machines with intravenous infusion tubes, bound limbs to the hospital bed, short-term memory loss and an inability to speak. A brain hemorrhage also left the future hanging in the balance. At the hospital, they were surprised to see someone on the edge of death, yet still radiating. It was stronger than myself. Within me, I now carried the memory of an infinity in which I had been scattered into countless atoms. The smile kept me strong during the following months as I fought for my life. Over time that smile and the feeling of unity began to fade. It took me a long time to recover. When I later heard about the inner smile as a practice, it was like a magical moment where everything became clear and I could immediately connect my experiences. To be able to maintain this level of bliss, I realized that I need to nurture myself through practices like qi-gong and inner alchemy. It has made my inner smile start to return! The recovery is a miracle according to the doctors /story 2 The three-month-old baby was fighting for its life and had already spent over a whole month in a coma due to, among other things, a brain hemorrhage, and its future was uncertain. I received a photograph of the child so that I could direct my inner smile to the child, visualizing it smiling from its source. My collegues and I knew hat there were many people around the baby that prayed and supported in their own way. After a week, we received the news that the baby had come out of the coma and was already home. The doctors had expressed: The baby's rapid recovery is a miracle. It goes against all statistics and it responds well to all tests, is very lively and happy. _______ The two stories above contain extraordinary and astonishing events that sparks wonder both among those involved and, not least, the woman's own experience in the first story. In the last story the doctors themselves use the word miracle. According to Michael Winn, the potential of the inner smile is so elevated that it is beyond anything that can be calculated or measured. I want to add the importance of remembering that there are always multiple factors that together create the conditions for a certain outcome. The inner smile is a practice of inner alchemy The inner smile is our absolute source of self-acceptance – to live without judgment. The smile is a foundational practice within Daoist inner alchemy and is part of the qi-gong form "Wuji- gong" that I practice. The more we practice/are in the smile, the deeper it takes us and helps us more permanently live from this state, something that the woman in the first story also highlights. When we practice the inner smile, we open the innermost part of our hearts, a source deeply hidden in our bodies that according to Winn, consists of a neutrally radiating light (neutral because it transcends the yin and yang poles). When we smile, we allow this light to penetrate our body, we embody it and we permit total acceptance in the body of fate as it arises in every moment. This light is something that, among other things, the woman herself strongly experiences when she woke up from the coma. I saw a golden light around the man in my dream experience of the smile ( read previous post ) (and that before I even read about it). Miracles are initiated by creating an alchemy through acceptance and a surrender into the void of the unknown, inviting the divine to intervene and ignite a 'spark,' a new set of circumstances that alters one's fate, sometimes immediately. Miracles can be set in motion, for example, through the prayer of a soul. (Robert Ohotto) The inner smile and miracles! Yes, the fact that the word miracle originates from the meaning "to smile" is interesting and continues to fascinate me on multiple levels. Next time you smile from your inner smile to someone or yourself, remember that a wave of unconditional love filled with light is being sent out, simultaneously reminding others to open to that source within themselves. We are all co-creators of our reality according to Caroline Myss , and I agree with that. Her words below will be the conclusion of the post! We influence reality - we are the engines of creation, co-creators! *M. Winn. 2003. Way of the Inner Smile, Self Acceptance: Tao Path to Inner Peace. *R. Ohotto, 2018. Igniting miracles in the dark - lesson two.
- Nine shades of love
Poem by Sanne. Wounded soul, life breaks down. Attacked, love bleeds. Withdraw, shame grows. Sadness, love suffers. Mistrust of grace, power decline. Destroying, love cools off. Give up, tears freeze. Alone, love thirsts. Turn within, voice speaks. Listening, love comforts. Pursue for wholeness, faceing shadows. Nourishing, love releases. Weave new thread, hope strengthens. Patiently, love heals Glimpse of light, heart pulsate. Joyful, love flows. Live in light, soul in harmony. Forever, love fulfills. Number 9 symbolize humanity. In Doaism number 9 stands for heaven. Poem by Sanne (Mai 2013) / Transitions of life.
- For me it is a clear before and after Reiki
GUEST POST BY SOFIA. In 2020, I started actively working on my mindset, patterns and behaviors that I have accumulated in life, that which was not in line with my true self and who I wanted to be. Through different methods I came far in my development but I felt that some things were deeper. On a level that I didn't really get to on my own. I was drawn to try Reiki and I am grateful every day for the journey and inner development that Reiki has given me. For me, it's a clear before and after Reiki. I have been doing Reiki regularly since October 2022. In October 2023 I chose to attend a Reiki class and today I have taken Reiki step 1 and 2. I chose to take the courses separately. Never have I developed so much on a personal level since Reiki came into my life. It has helped me in everything from how I handle and react to resistance and triggers in life. Limiting and standing even more in my truth. How I handle love relationships, being rejected but also feeling self-love. I've become better at following my flow and being in the present. It has strengthened my intuition and contact with myself, but also contact with nature. I feel less anxiety and stress when I walk outside my comfort zone. The list can be made long... ❤️ I, Sanne, have had the pleasure of following Sofia for a while and every time I meet her I have felt that her journey inspires, that I asked if she wanted to write and share it to inspire others.
- Almost halfway through Lyme disease with Wu Ji gong and Reiki in a month
No classic skin redness, too "early and mild" symptoms according to the doctor who sent me home from the health centre, sure that it was just some virus. Still, I intuitively knew in the moment I removed the tick that it was carrying infection. It took seven months to get rid of borrelia completely. Three of those months I had various symptoms. The experience of how powerful Wu Ji gong and Holy Fire® Reiki are - stays forever with me. At the beginning of September 2023, a month after the tick bite, I payed a visit to my nutrition and kinesiologist that I have had in my life for some time and who stated that it was borrelia. It was nice to finally get the confirmation. At the same time, I was worried that it had been a while and that without antibiotics, which is the way I know others have treated their infection. For me, it all debuted with a day of severe headache and fever of 39 degrees on the 10th day after the bite. Then followed about a week with fever of 37 degrees and fatigue. However, before the symptoms came, I felt that something was burdening my energy body and I did both Wu Ji gong (a 20-minute movement dance) and Holy Fire® Reiki from day one to support my body. During the visit, the kinesiology (using muscle testing) asked the question "how many percent of the borrelia infection has my body already healed"? Answer was 40%. Although the figure should be taken with caution, it filled me with confidence in my body, as well as to Wu Ji gong and Reiki. A month and almost halfway through a clearing of the infection! How do Wu Ji gong and Reiki transform virus and bacteria? Virus and bacterias consist of a qi (chi) frequency that has a charge of either yin or yang. In Wu Ji gong and Reiki, on the other hand, we cultivate a higher frequency of qi that is beyond yin/yang polarization and that raises our frequencies in our energy body, including our physical body. This makes it much harder for virus and bacteria to stay within us and they begin to dissolve/transform. In Wu Ji gong, the Qi we open and build up within us from the source is called Yuan Qi wheras in Reiki for Rei ( same as universal wisdom). I felt very actively when transformation was taking place within my body. A symptom could rise to the surface and when I either practiced Wu Ji gong or opened up to Reiki, this process started immediately. After a week the symptom often left my body and I went on to heal, often with the result that I first felt much better, before another symptom appeared. On one occasion during a training weekend in Reiki, I felt how Rei flowed into my stomach area with such heat when a student practiced giving Reiki that it felt like I was bathing in lava. It was incredibly pleasant and with the result the next day that the symptom I had gone with was gone. There and then Rei burned away low vibrating (unhealthy) qi, one of the ways that transformation can happen. On another occasion I felt a rising fever and when I opened up to Reiki, the fever was lifted out out of my head together with what my body was working on cleansing at the moment. That process took 15 minutes. Often I combined Wu Ji gong while I had Reiki actively and sometimes I also drew Reiki symbols in which I stood while I made the movements. The combination I experience reinforces, but only individually are they also effective. For me, it was a relief to be able to both relieve and accelerate the natural cleansing and healing processes of the body, which is an advantage of both Wu Ji gong and Reiki. In retrospect I realized that it made the doctors probably confused because they did not get together the symptom picture. Although I put my prediction on the table, mentioned that I did Reiki on myself and how it can ease symptoms, the doctor said that there was no risk at all that I had neither borrelia nor TBE, and was therefore not willing to take a blood test either. Similarly, the healthcare advisory on 1177 had told me when I first made that contact. Although it was to my disappointment first, I rested deeply in a confidence in both Wu Ji gong and Reiki. I remember on the way out of the health centre how clearly I saw the path that was for me to cure borrelia. In addition, that same day I had just steped out of bed without symptoms for the first time in ten days, which lasted three weeks in a row. Holistic healing as well as setting intentions with Wu Ji gong and Reiki With Wu Ji gong and Reiki I also worked with my fears that I mentally and emotionally experienced in waves. Being aware that negative thoughts and emotions, if they grow and consolidate, can begin to create imbalance in the life force, I embraced them in my sessions. In both Wu Ji gong and Reiki we can give direction to the higher universal intelligence by speaking about what we want it to work with. How Yuan Qi or Rei then chooses to work (cleans, heals or guides), we need, on the other hand release all control over. The effects can be immediate. At the end of September, I wrote in my diary the following: "I hardly think of Lyme disease anymore. It's kind of out of my mind. When a friend wrote the other day and asked me how I felt, it took a long time to make the connection in my head and it was only then that I was reminded that, oh I have that". For the last 60 % of my healing I was supported by two herbs. Pau D'arco for the first three months and Astragalus for the last three. The herbs, as well as the number of drops, were muscularly tested on my body to optimize the healing for me. Symptoms I underwent the following 2 months : wandering joint pain dizziness pressure over the lungs heat attacks missing menstruation enormous fatigue Resistance and worse in a healing crisis From day to another I got much worse and could barely breathe, sleep and in addition to the sore throat, itching eyes and nose ran every second. I had already suffered from dust allergy three years now, but I had never felt so bad. Now no allergy pills worked which before used to create relief in the worst moments. Not even Reiki relieved. Wu Ji gong I felt a great resistance to do. I just wanted to disappear from my body. Would I have fallen back in the healing? Couldn't the body resist borrelia? My thoughts made me doubt. Wu Ji gong came again to my attention and finally did a round of 20 minutes and brought my relentlessness into the session. If this doesn't work, I don't know what I'm doing I thought and asked for a powerful strengthening effect. I did the movement dance sitting and closing my eyes while letting my energy body do the movements. The result was so effective that I both slept for several hours that night and experienced an enormous improvement in breathing as well as that my nose stopped running. I continued to do one round per day for the next two days. Wu Ji gong gave me the same effect as my allergy pills with the difference that the symptoms now not only relieved, they also began to decrease for every day in a way that I had not previously experienced. In three days I was almost recovered from allergy symptoms and did not need any allergy tablets for the following six months. In November I get confirmation from my kinesiology that the infection is over and that my dust allergy is cured. The days I experienced that my allergy symptoms suddenly worsened ten times more, was therefore a deep healing crisis (deep healing where often symptoms escalate before it gets better) - a threshold of a healing breakthrough. The resistance is classic to feel before a breakthrough. It is also now that it is most common to give up and sometimes stop practising, regardless of the form or method we practice. The day I experienced that the borrelia infection was finished in the body, I also remember that I went into an elevated worse state of severe headache and fever, exactly as the infection once debuted three months earlier. Afterwards I was better than in a long time and knew intuitively that now it was done. After all Borrelia infections, up to 50 residue bacteria follow, which also need to be cleansed out. These may otherwise remain in the body and cause symptoms to continue. This cleansing phase took me three months with fatigue as the main symptom. For the most part, the body is able to clear these out on its own, but I also supported it with a herb. This infection affects everyone differently and each person has its unique process. Some are fully recovered, others are drawn with symptoms several years after the infection is gone and this despite repeated antibiotic treatments. What I want to share with this story is how powerful I experienced that Wu Ji gong and Holy Fire® Reiki are, both on their own and with herbs, to cure borrelia. #Wu Ji gong is an over 800-year-old form designed to enter the greatest mystery and combines tai chi, feng shui, chi kung and inner alchemy. Do you want to learn Wu Ji Gong? More information will soon be on the webpage and eventually course. #Holy Fire® Reiki , read more here . Finally, some words describing a perspective on healing If we experience diseases and conditions, it is either as an attempt to adapt or because we lack the information that would either protect us from or prevent these health problems. Symptoms are usually messages from within, asking for help and demanding evolution. Most of our pains come from healthy reactions to unhealthy situations in our bodies in which we often find ourselves involved. /M. Winn
- SHINKI - ITTEN (A new start)
Translate from japanese: A new beginning, Turn over a new sheet, Change ones mindset. Winter’s cold, snowy winds have finally become milder and spring is germinating. Some days refreshing spring rain falls, other days the rays of the sun smile. - I and nature are coming alive! In many ways, it's a new beginning for me. Lyme disease that I got sick of at the end of the late summer, as well as all the 50 residue bacteria that follow once the infection is gone, have healed out of the body. That was confirmed a week ago. When I removed the tick in August 2023, I intuitively knew it was infected. I had no idea, however, that it would change most of my autumn and winter by slowing down the pace and pushing on certain plans, so that the body was given the opportunity to heal. I will make a new post about my healing of Lyme disease . When I look back in the autumn and up to now, the course activities in the company have been more intense than ever and a great gratitude and joy is within me for all the people that I have had the opportunity to meet. In addition to diving into Reiki, it is in the encounter with other souls that, in my opinion, space is created to see ourselves, to exchange experiences and to support each other on our journey as human beings here. Undoubtedly, all the Reiki that flowed from courses and from participants also supported my healing process. Eternally grateful! Further development of my company In the autumn I chose to begin the Wu Ji gong teacher training, whose name "Wuji" refers to the source - a consciousness of unity before Yin and Yang are polarized. In other words, Wu Ji gong means developing skills to enter the greatest mystery. At any time now, I will be certified teacher and thus a line-bearer of this beautiful form, also referred to as Primordial Tai Chi for Enlightenment or primordial Qigong. The form combines tai chi, feng shui, chi king and inner alchemy in a simple and unique movement dance and is specifically designed to open and support us to integrate the source, pure Yuan Qi. WU JI GONG - a dance of inner alchemy Wu Ji gong starts processes of transmutation of our personal qi patterns and imbalances, as well as what we carry from our ancestors (which they did not heal). This gradually enables us to fully master an identification and communication with the source. Daily practice of this form opens us to, among other things, inner peace, vitality, self-love and allows for an increased physical life span (because it rejuvenates). I will, when the time comes, teach this movement dance to others and post information on the website about it. Until then, I will introduce Wu Ji gong in more detail as a post here on the blog. About the search for one's own truth I like the description of Paolo Coelho from the Alchemist ; "Remember that wherever your heart is, there you will find your treasure".
